Assistant General Manager

Restaurant Zén is looking for an experienced and dedicated Assistant General Manager to join our leadership team in Singapore.

About the Role

As Assistant General Manager, you will play a key role in the leadership and daily operations of Restaurant Zén.

Working closely with the General Manager and the wider management team, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of service, developing the team, and ensuring a consistent and memorable guest experience.

This is a senior leadership position requiring strong operational expertise, sound business judgement, and the confidence to take ownership of both people and performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring exceptional service standards and operational efficiency.

• Inspire, coach, and develop the front-of-house team, fostering a positive and professional working environment.

• Drive consistency in service delivery while continuously identifying opportunities for improvement.

• Take an active role in recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance management.

• Build strong guest relationships and handle feedback with professionalism and discretion.

• Work closely with the culinary and beverage teams to ensure seamless collaboration across departments.

• Support financial and operational performance through effective staffing, scheduling, cost awareness, and KPI management.

• Uphold Frantzén Group's standards, values, and commitment to excellence.

About You

We are looking for an experienced hospitality leader who combines operational excellence with a genuine passion for people and service.

To succeed in this role, we believe you have:

• Significant leadership experience in fine dining, luxury hospitality, or a comparable high-end restaurant environment.

• A proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop high-performing teams.

• Strong operational knowledge and a solid understanding of restaurant financial performance.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English.

• A structured, proactive, and solution-oriented approach to leadership.

• The ability to remain calm, professional, and decisive in a demanding service environment.

• A natural presence on the floor and a genuine commitment to creating memorable guest experiences.
